Peace by Piece

This week I wanted to take some time to thank you all for your engagement with the conference. It has been incredibly rewarding to see your support. The past few weeks have seen a huge increase in the activity around the conference. The donation bin has been routinely filled each week and our pantry is looking much better. Consistency in the pantry is key for us to grow other areas of service in our conference. If you keep helping, we can really start shaking things up around town. To speak plainly to you, this has been an intense few weeks, filled with late nights, lots of prayer, and even more uncertainty. The support these last few weeks has been tremendously reassuring and gives us much hope for what we can do as a community. Thank you and thank you for your continued engagement as we grow the mission of our church.

Speaking of, I wanted to thank the folks that came out to our first day of service last week! Our first day of service was a success. It was great to see parishioners take responsibility for our community and work to clean it up. It is small acts like this that start changing the world, evangelizing through action. We are looking forward to building off this momentum for future projects. If litter pick up isn’t your bag, no worries, we will be rotating different acts of service so everyone can hopefully get a chance to participate. Our next day of service will be October 29th at the St. Joe cemetery for our first corporal work of mercy. We will be praying for the dead, this is for everyone to partake in, families especially.

Thanks to all who came to our meeting last Tuesday. I am excited to see our different service committees grow in the coming months. Our next meeting is October 17th at 6:00 pm.

I routinely pray for the hearts of those on the verge of service.
